The Festival of Navratri is a festival of nine days. These nne days are devoted to all nine devis. The most popular goddess are Maa Durga, the Goddess of Valor, Ma Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth and Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge.

The nine days of Navratri are for worship & fasting & feasting. This is done for the nine days. The evenings are usually passed by singing bhajans & religious dances in order to worship Maa Durga.
The nine nights of Festival are beginning with the first day of ashwina of bright fortnight.
Seeds are own & sprouts are watched to see & the other bhajans are sung by the group of devotees. The planets are consecrated on the 8th & 9th day of Navratri. All the nine days are sanctioned to the nine devis who are worshipped on the nine days.
The first day of Navratras , small bed is arranged & prepared in the Puja room & some bare seeds are sown in them. The initial days are dedicated to the Durga Maa who is know as the goddess of Power & energy.
These days are for Lakshmi Maa who is the Goddess of peace & prosperity is worshipped with bhajans & dances.
These are the final days of the Saraswati Maa who worshipped to get all the knowledge necessary to live a happy life. This ends with a strong bond of trust & prosperity. The 8th day of festival is performed.
The last day of Navratri is known as Navratri. This day is called as Kanya Puja, in which small female kids are invited to the home & feasted. The number of girls should be nine or more & Goddess is worshipped.
The festival of Navratri is a mixture of various themes & a common theme of victory 0f good over evil.
After the Navaratri , Dussehra comes. The tenth days is celebrated as the Dussehra. Dussehera is celebrated with by the story.
The story starts with the demon king who was killed by Lord Ram. Ravana was the undefeated king of all times. He can’t be defeated by any God of super powerful person but at last killed by Lord Rama.
As he was undefeated & cruel enough to kill all the innocent people & tries to conquer all the lokas. After very soon, he conquered all the lokas. So the king of swarg loka went to Lord vishnu who take birth as Human on earth. The human for of Vishnu was called Rama. Later when rama grew up, he killed Ravana & soon the day started to celebrate as Dussehra.
